Photoshop Poster/Advert

(Film Posters Lyndon) (Emma - advertising): Investigate film posters or adverts - analyse the codes and conventions of posters - look at three (different genres)/ annotate and post onto your blog.

TV & Film:
Consider your own film poster - take a still image (take a variety to choose from 10) that you will use for your own poster - consider costume/style and genre of your poster. Identify which image you will use and say why. Make sure you say why the others did not work - document on your blog.

Plan your poster, sketch it out on paper and take a picture and upload it onto your blog. You will need to come up with a tagline, come up with three and choose which one works best. Get some feedback from others in class. Blog!!!

Research into Editing

Before you begin to edit for yourself you need to understand the process of editing, where it has come from and its development through time.

1. Research the history of editing from the early stages of cutting film, through linear editing and on to non-linear editing using computers (make sure you use key words to help you).

  • Write up your research, giving specific examples from films or television programmes that demonstrate the styles and techniques that you have researched.
  • Create a simple but clear timeline of editing. Use images to support your writing, make is brief but concise.
